Mastercard Donates Laptops to Support Cybersecurity Training for the Deaf Community
Washington, DC (August 14, 2025): DEAFCYBERCON is proud to announce a generous donation of 20 laptops from Mastercard Corporation to support its mission of expanding cybersecurity education and workforce development opportunities for Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.
The donation will help close the technology gap for program participants, many of whom face limited access to the tools and resources necessary to pursue careers in cybersecurity. The laptops will be used in hands-on training sessions, virtual workshops, and certification prep courses offered through DEAFCYBERCON's growing network of cybersecurity education partnerships and initiatives.
"We are deeply grateful to Mastercard for their leadership in advancing inclusion in tech," said Angela Dingle, President & CEO of DEAFCYBERCON. "This donation will open doors for Deaf professionals to enter and excel in one of the fastest-growing, highest-demand fields in the workforce today."
DEAFCYBERCON is the nation’s only cybersecurity initiative dedicated exclusively to empowering members of the Deaf community. With Mastercard’s support, the organization continues to make strides toward building a more inclusive and cyber-ready workforce.
“Cybersecurity is only as strong as the diversity of minds protecting it,” said Rebecca Ledingham, Global Vice President of Cybersecurity at Mastercard. “By supporting DEAFCYBERCON, we’re helping ensure that Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals have the tools, training, and opportunities to contribute their unique perspectives to the cybersecurity workforce. Together, we can build a more secure and inclusive digital future.”
